GCHS Golden Horseshoe Winners Announced

Gilmer County High School students Caeleb Pounds (left) and Michael Holmes (right) have been named as the recipients of the 2023 Golden Horseshoe Award. Caeleb is the son of Jessica Hutchison and Todd Pounds of Glenville. Michael is the son of Stephanie Frymier of Glenville. They will be knighted at an 11 a.m. ceremony on June 13 in Charleston, WV. "We are very proud of the accomplishments of these young men," said Mrs. Nasia Butcher, Principal. "They have demonstrated academic excellence and superior knowledge of their state. I'm sure that we will see these two with other fine honors as they progress through Gilmer County High School."
