This week, Gilmer County High School's second annual art show took center stage, captivating attendees with the myriad talents of our school community. Showcasing a wide variety of artworks such as beautiful paintings, impressive photography, stunning sculptures, and soothing music, the event truly had a little something for everyone.

Mr. Fisher, art teacher and the event's coordinator, shared his excitement for the project, stating, "This is the second year we've had an art show in Glenville for our high school. The kids have been excited, and I'm really proud of everything they've produced. These kids have been working hard since January, and every new piece has been exciting and motivational for me."

The fruits of their labor were abundantly clear in this year's exhibition, as the gallery boasted impressive artwork made by talented students from wall-to-wall.  Thomas Spada, a senior and photographer whose work was featured the art show, encouraged students to consider the opportunity to participate in next year's event. He shared, " I'm proud to be part of the art show because a lot of people spend a lot of time making a lot of really nice things, yet they might be too shy to show it. With the art show, you don't have to be too shy to show anything — you can express yourself and feel welcomed."

Though this year's show might be over, both the school and the community look forward to what wonders will be on display for next year.
