It's time for Homecoming Week at GCHS! Here's what you need to know:

Theme:

This year’s theme is “Candyland”!  Think bright colors, gumdrops, lollipops, assorted sweets, and more!

Royalty:

Students will vote for King and Queen on the GCHS Symbaloo in advisory on Monday, September 22. We will crown the winners in a ceremony during the Homecoming Game this Friday.

Dress up as your favorite candy!

Thursday: Class Color Day
Match the theme of your class hallway!

Titan Bonfire:

We’re bringing back a homecoming classic – the Titan Bonfire! Join us at Brooklyn Field at 7:00 PM for an unforgettable night of school spirit.

Bring your friends and come hungry—there will be hot dogs, snacks, and drinks to keep you fueled. Plus, test your skills and cheer on your classmates in tug-of-war, baby bottle races, and other fun games.

Pep Rally:

We will have a pep rally Thursday, September 25! School will run on the assembly schedule.

Parade:

Parade will function as it has in previous years.  Teachers will walk their homeroom students to and from the parade. A form was sent home so that students can indicate their intention for the parade on Friday, September 26.  Once all students have arrived back to school, we will continue through the remaining periods.

Tickets:

Tickets will be sold at both lunches during Homecoming week.  Prices are $7 for a single and $12 for a couple. Students must pay their class dues before buying a ticket.

Class Dues:
Dues can be paid to the following teachers for each grade level:

  • 6th-8th: Mrs. McClain

  • 9th: Kelsey Hickman

  • 10th: Mr. Yocum

  • 11th: Mrs. Lora Chapman

  • 12th: Mrs. Yoder

Pictures:
This year, pictures for the Homecoming Dance will be provided by Rolling Hills Photography by Sierra Reinhardt, a GCHS alumnus! Order forms will be in the office the week of homecoming.  She will be set up by 7:00 PM and The DJ will announce “last call” before she leaves.

GCHS Homecoming Dance:
The GCHS Homecoming Dance will take place on Saturday, September 27.

Dance Schedule:
5:00 PM Pictures begin

7:00–8:00 PM – Middle School students only

8:00–9:30 PM – All students, grades 6–12

9:30–11:00 PM – High School students (grades 9–12) only

We can’t wait to kick off another amazing Homecoming week with our students—let’s show that Titan pride!
