Hello Gilmer County High School Students, Parents, and Staff!
This is a great week at Gilmer County High School. It is homecoming week and spirit week. It is also the midterm for the first grading period which means teachers are providing grades for a progress report.
- Progress reports for midterm grades will be in your child’s possession this evening, September 20. Due to a new state information system, the progress reports will be signed and initialed by your child’s teachers. Please review their grades and plan to attend parent teacher conferences at 5-6:30 p.m. on Thursday evening.
- Our Local School Improvement Council (LSIC) meeting will be on Wednesday, September 21st, at 4:30 p.m. at GCHS.
- Our homecoming parade through the streets of Glenville, will be this Friday at 1 p.m. If attending the parade, we encourage you to come early. The weather is looking great.
- Our homecoming football game will be Friday evening at 7 p.m. against South Harrison with the crowning of homecoming court at halftime.
- The homecoming dances will be on Saturday. The middle school dance will be at 5- 7 p.m. and the high school dance at 8-11 p.m.
It’s a super busy week, and an exciting time to be a Gilmer County Titan. We invite your involvement in academics, athletics, and school celebrations.
Thank you,
John Putnam, Principal
