Sports Physicals available at Gilmer Elementary School Based Health.
High school students may buy lockers on Aug. 11 from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. at the east end of the building. Rent is $5 and all high school students MUST have a locker partner.
Middle school students will be assigned lockers by their homeroom teachers at the beginning of school.

Minnie Hamilton School Based Health is doing sports physicals for the 2022-23 school year. Today and tomorrow, at the high school, there will be no copay charged. This was announced earlier and is just a reminder. Copies are also available at the school office, and must be completed and signed before physicals will be given.
Driver Eligibility Updates
The Calhoun/Gilmer culinary team, Coyote Beautiful, recently participated in the National ProStart Invitational in Washington D.C. this past weekend.

Minnie Hamilton School-Based Health will be doing sports physicals at Gilmer County High School on May 17th and 18th for high school students.
Sports physicals are available at Gilmer County Elementary School June 27th – July 1st and July 25th – July 29th for all Gilmer County Students through the school-based health program.
Copays will be waived for physicals completed during the pre-scheduled clinic times.
Take current WVSSAC Physical Form to the appointment with you that has been filled out by your parent.

The West Virginia Department of Education is honored to announce the 2022 Golden Horseshoe winners for Gilmer County. Since 1931, students have been honored as knights of the Golden Horseshoe having demonstrated exceptional knowledge of West Virginia history on the state administered exam. This year, 221 winners will join the ranks of WV citizens who have won this prestigious award. Our county winners will have an opportunity to be recognized at our Golden Horseshoe ceremony on June 14, 2022 at the West Virginia Culture Center in Charleston WV.

The Gilmer County High School softball team has earned the privilege to play in the LKC Night of Champions. Gilmer will play Wahama this Friday, April 29 in a semifinal game starting at 5:00 pm. If we win, we will play for the LKC Championship approximately 30 minutes after the conclusion of the semifinal game. Good Luck Titans

Congratulations to Gilmer County High School juniors, Daisy Snyder and Taylor Jenkins! Both girls participated in the West Virginia Technology Student Association State Conference held at Cedar Lakes in Ripley on March 25 & 26.
Taylor was a member of the 1st place Music Production team, 1st place On Demand Video team, and 3rd place Digital Video Production team.
Daisy was a member of the 1st place On Demand Video team and 3rd place Digital Video Production team.
Both girls will travel to Dallas, TX to compete at the National Technology Student Association Conference that will be held June 26 - 30, 2022.

Congratulations to Gilmer County High School senior Ryan Beron! Ryan participated in the SkillsUSA competition that was held on March 25th and 26th at Fairmont State University. He placed 1st and earned the title of State Champion Welder. He will travel to Atlanta, GA to compete in the SkillsUSA National Leadership & Skills Conference that will be held June 20 - 24, 2022. Congratulations again to Ryan Beron and Good Luck at Nationals!
Mr. Blair Fisher's Art classes have been hard at work preparing for the upcoming art show. Come out to the Pioneer Stage, which is located on Main Street in Glenville, and see the wonderful works of art created by students from Gilmer County High School.
