Reality Check 2025 Recap!
On March 11, 2025, Gilmer County High School students took part in an eye-opening experience, thanks to Communities in Schools and our community partners at Calhoun Banks.
Students were assigned unique scenarios with different jobs, salaries, and family situations, then visited various stations to plan for things like insurance, buying a car, childcare, and more. It was a great way to help them understand the importance of budgeting and managing life’s expenses.

Saturday, GCHS was honored to host the 2025 All-Area Band Concert at the Glenville State University Fine Arts Building.
The 2025 All-Area Band Concert brought together talented students from Gilmer, Calhoun, Braxton, and Wirt Counties for a special evening of music and collaboration. This performance showcased the dedication and musicianship of young musicians from across the region as they came together to share their hard work and passion for music.
