🍭🍬ATTENTION, SWEET-TOOTHED SPIRIT SQUAD!🍬🍭

Mother Nature has rained on our bonfire parade... and apparently, she’s not a fan of toasted marshmallows. 🔥💧
But don’t worry — the sugar rush is still on! We’re moving the bonfire bash to the high school, where the only thing melting will be your competitive streak in the class games! 🏆🎉

Step into our very own Candyland, where gumdrop goals, licorice laughs, and peppermint pride await! 🍥🍫 Whether you're Team Chocolate Swirl or Team Jellybean Jam, come dressed to impress and ready to play — because this indoor adventure is going to be sweet!

So grab your game face, your school spirit, and maybe a candy cane for good luck — and let’s turn this soggy situation into a sugar-coated success! 🍭😄

Two homecoming updates:

Due to the changes in the Homecoming dance schedule that were made last week, photography for the dance will start at 7:00 PM and run through at least 9:00 PM. The DJ will still announce a "last call" for photos before the photographer shuts down for the night.

Also: It’s Homecoming Bonfire Day! 🔥 Join us tonight at the Brooklyn Football Field for an evening full of school spirit and fun!

We’ll kick things off with Class Games, and the winning class will take home the Bonfire Spirit Cup! 🏆 Refreshments will begin at 7:00 PM, so come early, grab a snack, and get ready to cheer on your classmates!

🌧️ In case of rain, all festivities will be moved to the High School.
📢 A final decision on the location will be made by NOON today, so stay tuned for updates!

Let’s make this a night to remember—Go Titans! 💥#goGilmer #titanbonfire #GCHShoco25

School spirit is in full swing at GCHS!

🍭 Our Student Council members (grades 6–12) took time out of their evening to help sweeten up the school with decorations for the Homecoming Dance! 🎉

This year’s theme is Candyland, and it’s sure to be a treat you don’t want to miss. Be on the lookout for decorated hallways all Spirit Week long next week. 🍬🍫

A school attendance poster with a cheerful alarm clock character and bold red title "Every Minute Counts." It highlights how missing 15 minutes daily adds up to 1.25 hours per week, one day per month, and eight days per year. The message encourages timely arrivals and fewer early sign outs to support student learning.
Gilmer County High School Homecoming Dance Update:

After listening to community concerns regarding the upcoming Gilmer County High School Homecoming, we are making an adjustment to the 2025 dance schedule.

Updated Dance Schedule:
7:00–8:00 PM – Middle School students only
8:00–9:30 PM – All students, grades 6–12
9:30–11:00 PM – High School students (grades 9–12) only

We hope this revised schedule creates an enjoyable and inclusive experience for all students. Our goal is to ensure that every student has the opportunity to participate in and celebrate Homecoming in a safe, welcoming, and unified school environment.

🪩Homecoming 2025 – Dance Schedule Update🪩

We want to inform students and families of a change to the Homecoming Dance schedule at GCHS.

This year, we will be moving to a single, unified dance time for all students. The dance will run from 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM.

🔹Middle School students may attend until 9:30 PM
🔹High School students (Grades 9–12) may remain at the dance until 11:00 PM

While this is a shift from the original plan, we believe this adjustment can help foster a more connected school community and streamline the evening for everyone involved.

Thank you for your understanding and continued support.

We’re looking forward to a great Homecoming celebration! 💙 #gchshomecoming #GoGilmer
