UPDATE: Tomorrow’s VGB game vs. Wahama has been postponed. Additionally, tomorrow’s VBB game at Parkersburg Catholic has been canceled. Due to weather conditions, travel safety concerns, and uncertainty surrounding tomorrow’s varsity girls game vs. Wahama, the GCHS 1,000 Point Celebration has been postponed to a later date. We apologize for the late notice and appreciate everyone’s understanding. At this time, the varsity girls game vs. Wahama is still scheduled to be played as planned 🏀 We will share an updated date for the 1,000 point celebration as soon as it is finalized. ❤️ GCHS Student Council Presents: The Titan Sweetheart Dance ❤️

Gilmer County High School students in grades 6–12 are invited to attend the Titan Sweetheart Dance on February 13, from 6:00–8:00 PM, in the GCHS Commons Area.

Event Details:
• Admission is $2 at the door
• Casual to semi-formal attire (dresses or jeans are appropriate)
• Light concessions will be available for purchase, including chips, pop, and candy bars
• A photo backdrop will be set up for students to take their own pictures with friends

This event is open to GCHS students only and promises a fun, relaxed evening to celebrate the season.

All Gilmer County Schools will be dismissing 3-Hours early on Tuesday, February 3, 2026 due to expected inclement weather.

Blood Drive Information 🩸

Students who are 16–18 years old are required to have a signed parental permission form before they can donate blood.

Permission forms are available in Mr. Yocum’s room and must be completed prior to the blood drive.

We encourage eligible students to participate and help save lives! ❤️

Update for Seniors & Families 💰🎓

The Senior Financial Aid Meeting has been rescheduled for February 12, 2026. A representative from Glenville State will be on campus during 5th period to meet with seniors and discuss financial aid options.

The representative will also be back on February 17, 2026, from 2:00–6:00 PM for a Financial Aid Workshop to provide additional support and help with the process.

Be sure to take advantage of these opportunities!

GC Math Field Day Winners for Gilmer County Schools will be recognized at the February 23rd BOE Meeting. They were to be recognized at the January 26th meeting; we will delay this recognition until Feb. 23rd. Thank you.

In addition, the LSIC meeting that was scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. Please stay tuned for more details as they become available.

Due to inclement weather, the 1,000-point scorer celebration has been postponed, and tomorrow’s game vs. Wahama has been canceled. A make-up date for the celebration and the game will be announced in the near future.
