📚🍎 This week, Gilmer County High School celebrated Teacher Appreciation Week in a big way! Mrs. Barker, our administrators, and the Student Council went above and beyond to make sure our teachers felt appreciated every single day:
☕ Monday – A coffee bar with lots of various creamers kicked our the week with a boost of energy!
🍦 Tuesday – Mr. Payne treated staff to a sweet selection of ice cream cones, sandwiches, and orange dream bars.
🍋 Wednesday – A fresh lemonade bar with tasty mix-ins brought some flavor to the middle of the week!
🍪 Thursday – Students delivered Ann Reed’s famous cookie dough and Oreo cupcakes directly to teachers' classrooms.
🥓 Friday – Mr. Fox teamed up with Tudor’s to serve up a full breakfast for teachers and staff, complete with Celsius energy drinks!
To all of our amazing teachers: thank you for the time, care, and dedication you pour into your classrooms and Gilmer County's community every single day. You make GCHS a place of growth, support, and inspiration. We appreciate you more than words can express! #TeacherAppreciationWeek #GoGilmer

This past weekend, our talented GCHS musicians participated in the GSU Honor Band, featuring top student performers from more than a dozen counties! 🎶
After a competitive audition process, our students earned impressive placements:
🎖️ Marelly Medrano – Pioneer Band, 1st Chair Clarinet
🎖️ Catelynn Parsons – Pioneer Band, Oboe
🎖️ Jacob Kimble – Blue Band, 2nd Chair Percussion
They spent Friday afternoon and Saturday morning in rehearsal, leading up to a fantastic full-band concert. We’re incredibly proud of their hard work and talent! 💫🙌
