Report cards were given out this morning in homeroom. A copy was mailed home to the guardian today also.
At 10:05 a.m., GCHS will have a practice tornado drill. If you have any concerns, please know that this is a planned drill as part of a state-wide initiative for today, March 22, 2022.
Thursday, March 17 - Gilmer County FFA members will be exhibiting fresh eggs and fresh country cured smoked hams and bacons to be auctioned. The sale will take place at the Gilmer County Recreation Center Dining Hall. Reception and exhibit show begins at 6 PM. The sale will start at 7 PM.

Congratulations to our Varsity Boys Basketball Team! They won their sectional semifinal game last night against Wahama. The boys will now face Huntington St. Joe at Cabell Midland High School on Thursday March 3rd for the Sectional Championship starting at 7:00 p.m. Good Luck Titans!!!
Colton Hall, a sophomore at Gilmer County High School, will be completing in the State Championship Wrestling Tournament. The tournament will be held at the Mountain State Health Arena in Huntington on March 3rd, 4th and 5th. He will be wrestling in the 182 weight class. Good Luck Colton!
The Lady Titans will host Tolsia High for the Regional Championship game tonight at 7:00 pm at GCHS. The doors will open at 5:30 pm for ticket sales. All tickets will be $8.00. We do not anticipate a max capacity crowd for this game. WVSSAC passes (plus one) will be accepted.
Gilmer County Schools will be taking appointments for preschool enrollment for the 2022-23 school year on Friday, April 8th, from 3 to 6 p.m. Call 304-462-7386 ext 106.
Required documents include: Up to date shot records, documentation of the last Well Child checkup, last dental screening and birth certificate.
Children must be 4 years old by July 1st to enroll.
Tonight is Senior Night for our Varsity Boys Basketball team. The JV game starts at 5:45 p.m. and the Senior Night Ceremony will be immediately following the end of the JV Game. The Varsity Game will start after Senior Night and Varsity warm-ups.
We are proud of our entire Boys Basketball Team and excited to honor our Seniors on this special game against Richwood High School.

Gilmer County Lady Titans Varsity Basketball will play Tolsia High School for the Region IV Championship at GCHS on Wednesday, March 2 at 7 p.m.
As permitted by the WVSSAC, tickets will be sold at the door only for $8 for both students and adults. The doors will open at 5:30 p.m. for ticket sales.
There will be no pre-sale of tickets or online purchases. We do not anticipate a large volume of visitors for this game and seating will follow our traditional seating sections.

The Varsity Girls Basketball Team will be hosting Calhoun tomorrow night, 2/24/22, at 7:00 pm for the Sectional Championship Game. Pre-sale tickets will go on sale in the GCHS Office Thursday from 7:30am-3:00 pm. Tickets will also be sold at the door until max capacity is reached. The cost of admission is $5. WVSSAC passes (plus one) will be accepted. Outside entry doors and ticket booth will NOT open until 5:30 p.m.
