All Gilmer County Schools will be closed on Friday, January 30, 2026.

Some schedule updates:

The middle school game at Ritchie scheduled for today has been canceled.

In addition, the LSIC meeting that was scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed and will be rescheduled for a later date. Please stay tuned for more details as they become available.

Due to inclement weather, the 1,000-point scorer celebration has been postponed, and tomorrow’s game vs. Wahama has been canceled. A make-up date for the celebration and the game will be announced in the near future.

We sincerely apologize for the short notice and any inconvenience this may cause. The safety of our students, families, and community is our top priority.

If you know someone who was planning to attend or participate, please help us share this update and relay the message. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to celebrating our 1,000-point scorers at a later date.

🏀 Basketball updates📣: The middle school girls and boys home basketball games vs. New Martinsville that were scheduled for Saturday, January 24, have been canceled. The varsity boys game at Wahama that was scheduled for Saturday, January 24, has also been canceled. This game will be rescheduled.
