Sophomores Lacie Martin and Maggie Snyder proudly represented Gilmer County High School at the West Virginia Hugh O'Brian Youth Leadership (HOBY) Seminar this weekend at Glenville State University. As HOBY Ambassadors, they joined student leaders from across the state for an inspiring and transformative leadership experience focused on personal growth, teamwork, and community engagement.

HOBY's mission is to empower young people to lead and make a positive difference in the world by teaching them "how to think, not what to think" through creative, critical, and compassionate leadership development. Throughout the seminar, Lacie and Maggie participated in activities designed to strengthen their leadership abilities at the personal, team, and community levels. Their selection as HOBY Ambassadors reflects their potential as future leaders, and the skills and experiences gained during the seminar will benefit them for years to come.

The girls would like to thank Gilmer County Schools for sponsoring them and allowing them to have this life-changing opportunity!
