Immerse yourself in Gilmer County's rich traditions at Take a Little Peak: Winter Square Dance & Clinic! This special event will take place on January 16th at the Gilmer County BOE Office Gym.
Doors open at 6 PM, and the dance begins at 7 PM. Enjoy live music by The Great Fiddlin' Bobby Taylor and Friends, with Tony Minney as the caller. Dance instruction will be provided—perfect for all skill levels!
Admission is just $5.00 or by donation. Don't miss the 50/50, raffle items, silent auction, and cake walk! Sponsored by Gilmer County Elementary PTO, JAM, and WVSFF. Bring your friends and family for a fun-filled evening! 🎉

A focus group for parents and guardians of 6th–12th grade students in Gilmer County will be held on **Tuesday, January 14, 2025, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM** at Glenville State University, Robert F. Kidd Library (2nd Floor).
This event will explore ways to support youth engagement. Participants will be compensated for their time.
Space is limited, so RSVP is required—call 304-982-8330 or email research@orion-strategies.com.

A big shoutout to Mrs. Alecia Martin, our Communities in Schools coordinator, and the amazing team from Calhoun Banks for treating our students to a hot chocolate bar yesterday! Calhoun Banks also generously provided prizes for the event, holding a drawing for three prizes per grade level for students who were present.

GCHS Student Council is hosting a Christmas Food Drive that begins Thursday, December 5, 2024. We hope to collect a "blessing box" from EACH 1st period that contains specific items that you can find in the attached flyer. These boxes will be given to families within our own community. This is a great opportunity to help make a difference in our community while also promoting attendance with our students!
