Hey, Sophomores! Are you interested in attending HOBY? If so, please see Mrs. Fox! HOBY's State Leadership Seminars welcomes school and community nominated students to 3–4-day seminars each spring and summer. These student ambassadors participate in facilitated dialogue and abilities-based workshops to develop awareness of their leadership strengths and an understanding of their leadership values. Through these dynamic activities with their peers, students hone their skills and learn to recognize, amplify, and collaborate with the diverse strengths of others. This morning, the West Virginia Batman, John Buckland, visited GCHS for an engaging assembly! In a powerful “mask off” session, he shared his personal journey, the struggles he’s faced, and how he was able to overcome them. His message of hope, resilience, and mental health awareness resonated with our students. He emphasized four key lessons: 🔵Never Give Up 🔵Always Do the Right Thing 🔵Help Others 🔵Never Be a Bully A huge thank you to Mr. Buckland for taking the time to inspire and encourage our students today!
