The GCHS Concert Band and Middle School Band both traveled to Williamstown High School for the WVSSAC Region II Ratings Festival on April 16, 2026 🎶
The GCHS Concert Band earned a rating of II (Excellent). An Excellent Rating means only minor improvements are needed—an impressive achievement!
The Middle School band was switched to “Comments Only,” but judges and the Festival Director shared they would have earned a II (Excellent Rating).
"I am unbelievably proud of both bands," said Mrs. Buckley. "They’ve worked really hard to bring this music to life and to perform well. It’s reassuring to see how far the bands have come since 2022, and I know that we’re setting a trend for excellent and growth. I can’t wait to see what comes next!”
Join us for their Spring Concert on Thursday, May 7 at 6:00 in the GCHS Gym 🎺

Rise and shine! It's your week at-a-glance!

Mrs. Emerson’s 6th Grade Wellness (Physical Education) class had an egg-cellent time with a fun egg toss competition! Students teamed up to see how far they could toss their flour-filled egg without it cracking, building teamwork, coordination, and plenty of laughs along the way. Great job to everyone who participated! 🥚
