A fun fact states that Eileen once met Katy Perry at Glenville First Baptist Church. Eileen is a 2003 graduate of Gilmer County High School and is excited to return to serve the students of Gilmer County. 📅 Attention Gilmer County Families! Your 2026–2027 Student Calendar is coming home!

Each student will receive a Gilmer County Schools 2026-2027 Student Calendar magnet for families to use throughout the school year. The calendar includes important school dates, holidays, PT conferences, and an attendance tracker to help families keep up with student absences.

We encourage all families to make use of the attendance tracker to monitor student attendance and help us "Attend for the Win - Miss Less Than 10! "

If your student does not receive a calendar, please reach out to their school in order to request one.

The distribution will take place at GCES via the Parent Loop, 10:30am-12:30pm. Please see the attached flyer. This will be the last food distribution for Summer 2026. REMINDER: Weekend food for kiddos in Gilmer is today at GCES...11:30am-12:30pm. This is in partnership with Mountaineer Food Bank. You are welcome to drive through to pick up meals for the weekend. If you have not registered, you will be asked to register. If your child is attending summer school programs, they will bring food home on the school bus or when you pick them up. Thank you.
